Capturing milestones of the best year, Yes! Your Senior Year!
Senior portraits and prom photos are more than just snapshots; they’re timeless keepsakes of a moment in life that’s full of transition, excitement, and self-discovery. For this high school senior, it all began with a solo senior session at the breathtaking grounds of Hershey Gardens in Hershey, PA. This photoshoot was done in April and there were some flowers and trees blooming. During May is when a burst of vibrant blooms and landscapes that can be seen, enhancing the scenery. Hershey Gardens on it's own helps the graduate-to-be radiated confidence, grace, and the kind of inner glow that comes from knowing you’re on the edge of a big milestone.

When we connected for the booking process I expressed I spoke Spanish and this gave her another layer of trust, since I could communicate with her mom in that language. At the day of her photoshoot, to add her personal touch, she brought along her varsity volleyball jacket, an emblem of her hard work, dedication, and holding with pride as she was Team Captain. Once I saw the Puerto Rican flag pin on her jacket, I knew I had to take a close up photograph. It truly created a stronger connection since we share the same roots. It gave us more topics to chat candidly throughout the session since I played volleyball as well when I was in high school. Recognizing the colors of her uniform matching the colors of the Puerto Rican flag, was just perfect.
Senior Year, Prom Year!
Later in the year, I reconnected with this high school senior for a second session, this time joined by her boyfriend for dreamy prom portraits. We decided to do the photoshoot session at the beautiful Memorial Alumni Grove Park in Hershey, PA. This was on their actual prom night, so we planned to do the photoshoot just before they would head out to the venue. Despite it was cloudy and rainy, the energy shifted from personal to romantic as the young couple laughed, embraced, and followed along with all the prompts and suggestions I was giving them. Their connection was natural and sweet, a beautiful representation of young love combined with the excitement of all the new adventures that awaits for them as the end of the school year approaches. Together, both shoots told a complete story: one of personal growth, celebration, and connection.
