What can you expect working with me?
This is my process:
I. Consultaiton & Plan
This initial consultation is the first step for you to share any details of your engagement/engagement proposal photoshoot such as dates, location and vision. Over this quick 30 minute call I'll be answering any other questions you have about my services and it can be done over the phone or virtually. I am a believer on the chemistry we have and it helps to know if we are a TRUE MATCH.
II. Photoshoot day!
This is the day when all the adrenaline, joy, and excitement comes together and I get the best job ever to document ALL OF IT!
III. See your beautiful gallery
This is the time you have been waiting for! For engagement proposals I send gallery within 48 hours of your photoshoot. For regular engagement sessions, you can expect to receive them between 4-8 weeks after your photoshoot.

FAQ
How many engagement photos will we receive?
For the Love Birds engagement session, couples will receive a gallery typically between 100-150 digital images.
Do you charge for traveling to a location for an engagement session in Harrisburg?
I travel to any location my couples choose to. Any location that is longer than 1 hr distance from my home base in Middletown, will have a travel fee.
How long does it take to deliver the photos?
My delivery time for engagement photos is between 2-4 weeks. Some holidays may add a few days to this, depending on the time of the year.
For engagement proposals, I send a few sneak previews within 48 hours and a full gallery within the same time frame as a regular engagement session.
When should I book my engagement session?
Timing depends on when you're getting married and how you're booking me.
If you're booking a wedding package (most include an engagement session), I recommend reaching out 6-18 months in advance. Your engagement session itself is usually scheduled 6-8 months before the wedding, adjusted if you need the photos for save-the-dates or your website.
If you're booking an engagement session only, 1-3 months in advance is usually enough, depending on the season.
As a general rule, aim to have your session done 7-12 months before your wedding day for the most comfortable planning window.
What should we wear?
I always send couples my Engagement Prep Guide that gives some tips on how to prepare for their outfits. Keep in mind the location we are shooting at, the time of the year, and if they want to shoot in multiple outfits.
Us photographers recommend wearing solid colors and avoiding any neon colors or harsh patterns. This prevents any visual distractions and keeps the focus on your faces.
We are awkward in front of the camera; how can we feel comfortable?
This is one of the most common comments and questions I get asked. For couples, engagement photos are the best way to get more comfortable in front of the camera before your big day!
The way I work with my couples is a step by step process that allows for us to meet in person or virtually before the day of the photoshoot. I call this the ice breaker. Starting with our virtual consultation, we will talk about how you envision your photoshoot, style, possible locations, and answer any questions you may have about my services and the photoshoot itself. Then, we might have an in-person meet up or another virtual one(with both), to review some galleries, talk about locations, know more about their love story, and what this photoshoot means to them.
By the time we are on the day of the photoshoot, we have met twice and it makes all the process way smoother.
Can I bring my pet to my engagement session?
Yes!
I love pets and incorporating them into shoots! We will coordinate to bring an extra helping hand to stay with your furry friend while you can enjoy the rest of your engagement photoshoot.
Can I bring wine or champagne to the photoshoot?
ABSOLUTELY! You can include any sentimental or personalized elements to the photoshoot. One of my couples favorite things to bring is a blanket to sit or lay down for portraits, and a cooler with ice to store wine, champagne or beer. Depending on what you bring for drink, then you may need to bring champagne or wine glasses, wine bottle opener, beer bottle opener, some napkins (linen or paper, as you wish), and any snacks if you want to make it part of your photoshoot.
Do you have any favorite locations for engagement sessions near Harrisburg?
Yes, I have a ton of favorite spots for engagement shoots in Harrisburg and across Central PA!
Ultimately, this will depend on the vibe and vision you have for your photos.
If you are adventurous and love the outdoors, I recommend Boyd Big Tree Preserve, Chickies Rock Overlook, Wildflower Overlook, Overlook Park, Memorial Lake, Overlook Park, and the White Cliffs of Conoy.
If you prefer a city vibe, there are a ton of beautiful spots in downtown Harrisburg, Lancaster, Philadelphia, and others nearby.
If you want an elegant feel, the Harrisburg Capitol Building is a staple for this, along with Hotel Hershey, The Allenberry Resort Grounds, Fort Hunter Mansion, as well as a variety of other places in the Central PA and Philly area.
