Engagement Proposal at Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery

Oh summer days...

This engagement proposal was on a gorgeous summer sunny day. We were counting on the rain that was forecast for this day to hold on a bit, and it sure did! Anthony started to plan this engagement proposal photoshoot at least a month before the day. We scouted the location together and Amy, one of the staff members, guided us with different possibilities for the spot and how is the normal guests interactions on a Saturday afternoon. Between the staff's guidance and my input for photography direction, Anthony made his decision on where he would propose. He had a reservation to start off the afternoon with a wine tasting and then taking a stroll by the vineyards.

And of course it takes a village to make things possible! He planned with his best friend where he would want the ring box to be placed. This helped the engagement proposal to be more smoothly, since he didn't have to carry it. He just needed to make sure to walk on the specific vineyard he selected.

Timing and planning is the key

As their photographer, I arrived earlier than the time we had planned for this. I go to settle myself under one of the trees, with a nice cup of wine, a book, and hiding my camera. At all times, I saw them walking. I paced the time it would take them to arrive to the vineyard we had planned for the engagement photoshoot. I was ready, for when it would happen, and made sure, Melaney would not spot me. It was on August 16, 2023 at 3:57 pm that Anthony asked Melaney if she would spend the rest of her life with him. After the engagement proposal happened, we had an amazing time with an engagement portrait session right there at the grounds of Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery. The weather was hot! Nonetheless, Anthony and Melaney had a blast! That is exactly what I wanted them to have, an unforgettable memory of their engagement proposal. The entire experience with this venue was amazing!
